JD Logistics (JDL), also known as JINGDONG Logistics ( pinyin: Jīngdōng) is a Chinese supply chain management and logistics services provider.[2] Initially established as an internal department of JD.com and its subsidiaries in 2007,[3] it provides warehousing and distribution services.[4]

Background

JD.com began building its nationwide logistics network in 2007 to serve JD’s retail business.[3]

In November 2016, JD Logistics began to open up its capabilities to the public.[5][6]

In October 2017, JD Logistics launched the world's first fully automated B2C warehouse in Shanghai.[7][8]

In August 2019, JD Logistics launched an initiative to achieve 24-hour delivery in over 1,000 counties and over 10,000 towns.[9]

In May 2021, JD Logistics was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.[10][11]

As of September 30, 2023, JD Logistics operated over 1,600 warehouses. Including warehouse space managed through the Open Warehouse Platform, JD Logistics ' warehouse network had an aggregate gross floor area of over 32 million square meters.[12][13]
